The Rose of Sharon Quilt was especially popular in the mid-19th Century and was usually given as a wedding gift, symbolizing love and marriage.
- Traditions: a Rose of Sharon Collection was digitized for display at the 2011 Houston International Quilt Show, using Island Batik fabrics, Aurifil #50 Cotton Thread, and the Rose of Sharon die designed by Sharon Pederson and produced by AccuQuilt.
- Fabric Requirements for the Quilt are included and instructions for completing the quilt.
- Finished size of quilt is 58″ x 71.5″
- There are 12 Rose of Sharon blocks, with the roses and leaves applique and embellished with machine embroidery.
- The swag border is appliqued, and the roses and leaves are appliqued and embroidered.
- Swags are 10.5″ long. Templates for cutting the shapes are provided.
- You will be able to sew the swag in your embroidery hoop if you have a machine with a large hoop; otherwise you will need to iron the swag in place and satin stitch manually.
- All of the roses can be sewn in the 5×7″ hoop; designs are also combined for the larger hoops, including the Janome11000 Macro Hoop, PfaffCV and Husqvarna Diamond (VP3), Bernina830 (EXP) and Brother Quattro and PR Series, Babylock Ellisimo.
- Our Rose of Sharon quilt is designed for the Accuquilt GO!®Cutter and Studio™ Cutter dies.

- You can sew these blocks using our normal KennyKreations applique method. There is a bonus tutorial included.
