Josephine’s Rose Garden – in memory of Empress Josephine Bonaparte, whose love of roses was such that she collected as many varieties as possible and had the Belgian artist, Pierre-Joseph Redoute, paint them at her garden in the Chateau de la Malmaison.
- We have created an elegant candlewick collection based on a diagonal grid with a lovely thick chain stitch and candlewick knots, overlaid with beautiful roses.
- There are 15 rose blocks in this collection.
- These Candlewick designs are very versatile and can be used as embroidery on lots of items.
- They would be lovely on table linen, bed runners, quilts and bags.
